Gai Wanless has received extensive training in kinesiology since 1992.She also offers therapeutic massage, reiki, flower & gem essences & Neural Organisation Technique (N.O.T). N.O.T. is a powerful therapy which reorganises the nervous system and, therefore, the body it controls.
Gai has been studying Tai Chi Chuan since 1984 & has studied various forms with many teachers from Australia & overseas. Gai has been teaching Tai Chi since 1989. She was a medal winner at Australian competitions in 1998 & 2000 and is currently an International Wushu Federation Accredited Australian Judge. She is also an Australian Government Accredited (NCAS) Coach.
Gai is currently trained by and affiliated with Master Peter Wu Shi-zeng of the Chen Style Taijiquan Academy of Melbourne and Santou, China. Master Wu studied Taijiquan under some of the greatest modern masters, including Grandmaster Hong Jun-sheng (student of Grandmaster Chen Fa-ke).
Gai has traveled to China in 2007, 2006 & 2005 to study with Grandmaster Gao Yin Dao and his twin sons Masters George and Peter Gao of Yangshuo.
In 2006 Gai demonstrated at the International Tai Chi Masters Forum at Ma’an Shan, China, which she attended with Master Wu.
She teaches a selection of Qi Gong (Chi Kung) breathing exercises, Beijing 24 Form, Yang 40 Form, Combined 42 Form, Traditional Yang 108, ‘Hong’ Chen, Chen 36 & 56, Tao Yin, Lohan, Dayan (Wild Goose), Shi Ba Shi, Yang 32 Sword, Combined 42 Sword, Chen Broadsword, Chen Dual Sword, Bu Di Zhen Straight Sword & Dual Staff, and Chen Style Push Hands.
Tai Chi group classes available four terms per year. Corporate & private lessons by arrangement.
Kinesiology and massage available by appointment.
